TAKEAWAYS

After each Leap Workshop, the team and I worked to take feedback and make changes. A few key changes we made along the way were:

Ask different questions during the Inspiration section. Ultimately, all of the questions fell flat. Again, this section simply needs more time & structure.

We added a LEAP STORM during the Inspiration Section. This was an opportunity to brainstorm all types of Leaps that may fit. Then, the participants can share with their partners and narrow down to one Leap, which would complete the Leap Card. This was well received.

For the timeline, we altered it from “Month 1 - Month 2 - Month 3” to “Next 3 Hours - Next 3 days - Next 3 weeks.” This offered the participants a chance to begin right away, and then zoom in and out of their project over time.

Other notes:
The Kit is “story poor.” It needs more examples and/or tips along the way. These tips may come in the form of videos on the website or simple examples in the margins of the kit.

Help the participants see what they’re leaping from and to.

Potentially focus the kit more on the “heart” of the Leap than the activities. If someone is sure why they’re leaping/what they hope to know/feel, then they’ll take all types of Leaps that will be will be helpful.

Create or include an assessment that helps an individual examine what type of Leap they should take (length, “size,” goals, etc).
